2015 - 2020

Managing Director: East Coast Escargot Ltd

I set up a company which grew and sold escargot to wholesalers in France, Spain and Italy.

    My duties included:

  • Managing the business as a limited company.
  • Feeding, Breeding, Developing and Harvesting the snails.
  • Ensuring the marketing and sale of the product worked efficiently.
  • Liaising with other snail producers in Ireland to ensure we have a strong platform from which to sell.

2018 - Present

Managing Director:

My brother and I started a drone photography company with an aim to documenting events and venues.

    My duties included:

  • Flying the drone in order to capture photographs and videos.
  • Editing the photos and videos using photoshop and adobe premiere to maximise the impact of the footage.
  • Liaising with clients to discuss their requirement and to agree on a look and feel of the finished product.
  • Managing the website with responsibility for the advertising and marketing of the company.
  • Follow up with clients to ensure they are satisfied with the work which we did for them.

2012 – 2014

Teacher: Cheshunt School

I worked as a teacher of English and Media up to A levels. The job consisted of teaching all year groups from Year seven to thirteen.

    My duties included:

  • Writing relevant and engaging lesson plans for the English and Media classes.
  • Researching and, where possible, utilising new methods of presenting the curriculum in different ways to the classes I taught for example through digital media.
  • Liaising with colleagues to assess the progress of the students and ensuring the advancement of the curriculum.

2011 – 2012

Teacher: Northfleet Technology College

I worked as a teacher of English and Literacy up to GCSE. The job consisted of teaching all year groups from Year seven to twelve.

2008 – 2009

Resource Teacher: Rathdown School, Glenageary

I worked as a Special Educational Needs teacher in Rathdown. I also coached the Senior Girls and Minor Girls hockey teams throughout the hockey season.

    My duties included:

  • Assisting students with Special Educational Needs in accessing the curriculum.
  • Co-ordinating with the teachers of the SEN students regarding the work they needed to do and preparing classes based on their recommendations.
  • Using different approaches and techniques such as using models and visual aids to help students engage with the subject.
  • Producing a multimedia and film studies module for 4th year students.

2006 – 2008

English and Geography Teacher: St Andrew’s College, Booterstown

I worked as a Para Teacher and as part of my Higher Diploma taught classes in English and Geography at Junior Cert level. I was also involved in after school life, coaching both hockey and rugby teams.

2004 - 2006

Existing Business Administrator: New Ireland Assurance, Bank of Ireland, Dublin

I worked as part of a team to ensure that customers’ life assurance policies were maintained and managed appropriately.

1996 – 2006

Data Input: BRE Data Processing

I worked for BRE Data Processing on contract based work for ten years doing data entry while finishing my education and establishing myself in New Ireland Assurance. The jobs included data entry for IMRO (Irish Music Rights Organisation), The National Archives, Aer Lingus Cabin Crew Roster and various other projects.
